Crime Prevention Week 2023

On Monday, November 6, the Community Partnerships and Engagement Unit partnered with the Province and key organizations to announce the launch of Crime Prevention Week from TPS Headquarters.

The announcement led by Chief Demkiw, who will be joined by the Solicitor General Michael Kerzner, OACP Executive Director Jeff McGuire, Chair Ann Morgan TPSB, and Carly Kalish of Victim Services Toronto.

This year’s themes emphasize collaboration, resiliency, “awareness, engagement, and prevention”.

Crime Prevention Week provides an opportunity to showcase successful collaborative efforts between police services and community organizations. It emphasizes the importance of a partnered response to local crime and education initiatives.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Starbucks on Saturday August 24th. It was great to see so many community members come out and connect over some coffee and treats to talk about a shared vision for our community.
